my memory of when i was a kid back in the huising house is....
~skateboarding and rollerskating round&round the driveway/terrace area.
then when the other tays came over from singapore - julien will take the skateboard n us gals will either rollerskate or ride our bicycles. just riding up and down the road, never too far...
remember the video? where jason goes "i'm an ET" or something and julien will zoom in and out of camera while on his skateboard. dad will use the special effect from the camera and split us into 2/4 parts etc
~the masak masak sundays at er sen po's house with joy after church.
cos ku-ku brings us to church, we'll then go over er sen po's for lunch. zoe n jo had their own friends, so they didn't come. joy n i will then play masak masak by plucking (stealing!) leaves/flowers in neighbours houses etc. and mashing it up into pretty colours/pretty dishes!
we'll go over to her place as well and so the same...hehe
joy use to try and teach me how to do a handstand at the wall - where your body leans on the wall. i don't think i ever did it on my own! tried many times but never daring enough to fully flip my legs up so it's leaning on the wall. joy would need to hold my legs there for me..hahaha
~one really STRONG memory i have is during 1st day of CNY.
we've lighted firecrackers etc the night before and the ground on the driveway was full of red paper and some little unexploded crackers.
naughty me..i went out of the house from the guests on CNY day and wanted to light the firecrackers that were still unexploded. thing is...it rained the night before, so everything was slightly damp. nevertheless...
i picked them up one by one and started lighting them.
they didn't work....cos it's all damp/wet...until.........................
KABOOM! one exploded in my fingers!
i felt ringing in my ears and a bit numb on the fingers. (it was black too!)
learnt my lesson not to do that ever again..

Just to clarify... it wasn't "I'm an ET" that Jason was saying, it was "My name is Jason" in a weird, high squeaky, 'before-puberty' voice...
